What are the dates for the festival?

Saturday, May 27: VIP - 11:00am - 3:00pm & 4:00pm - 8:00pm GA - 12:00pm - 3:00pm & 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Sunday, May 28: VIP - 11:00am - 3:00pm & 4:00pm - 8:00pm GA - 12:00pm - 3:00pm & 5:00pm - 8:00pm

*Note the festival is closed between 3:00pm and 4:00pm each day

How much is it?

Tickets are required to enter the Q BBQ Fest. Choose between a 3-hour and 4-hour all-you-can-eat experience with a Q Pit Pass. We no longer have a free-to-enter/pay-as-you-go option at the festival.

Kids are allowed inside the Q BBQ Fest. Children 12 & under are free to enter during any session. Children ages 13-20 can enter by purchasing a $35 Kids Ticket. Children can enter during the 4-hour or 3-hour session with a paying adult with a ticket for that session (limit 4 children per adult).

What methods of payment can be used at the festival?

Once you enter the festival grounds, all of your food and beverage are included in your ticket. At your discretion, you can make additional purchases for event merchandise, sauces & rubs, sponsor and vendor sales items, and more. We are a cashless event. Credit or Debit only.

Where do I park?

Parking at the festival is included in your ticket purchase! However, we recommend taking the Light Rail and getting off at the Empower Field at Mile High Station, which is about a 1-minute walk from the festival. If you are driving to the festival, there will be parking available in Lot C on the south side of Empower Field.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

The event will take place rain or shine! BBQ is amazing whether you're eating in the sun or under an awning. No refunds will be given out for poor weather conditions.

Can I sample the BBQ?

Yes! Every pitmaster at the festival will be serving up multiple items (BBQ and sides) that you can sample as many times as you like during your 3-hour or 4-hour session.

What is the average price of food and drinks at the festival?

Everything is FREE once you enter the festival with your 3-hour or 4-hour ticket. We are no longer offering a free-to-enter/pay-as-you-go ticket option.

How late will BBQ be served during the festival?

We’ll have BBQ available for the duration of each of our four 4-hour all-you-can-eat sessions!

What are the differences between the 3-hour and 4-hour pass?

With a 4-hour VIP Pass, you avoid the lines and can spend 4 hours alongside your favorite Pitmasters enjoying all you can eat BBQ, premium VIP-only BBQ samples, signature cocktails, beer, and soft drinks. With a 3-hour pass, you will enjoy unlimited BBQ and canned beverages (water, soda, beer, and ready to drink cocktails).

Are the Q Pit Passes date/time-specific, or can they be used on either of the days?

Yes, the Q Pit Pass are date and time-specific to make sure there is enough BBQ to go around and to ensure you have a comfortable and rewarding experience at the festival. You can choose from one of four sessions available throughout the weekend when you purchase your Pit Pass.

Can I bring in my own water?

Empty water bottles and hydration packs are allowed in and we will have water filling stations available.

Will there be cooking demos during my session?

Yes, we will have multiple demo stages running during all 4 sessions throughout the weekend. Please visit our Demos page for more information.

Are kids allowed inside the festival?

What items are prohibited at the festival?

  • Any large bags such as duffel bags, coolers or luggage.
  • Any hard-sided containers, including camera and binocular cases, thermoses, and coolers
  • Glass bottles or cans. Alcohol that is not purchased at the festival is grounds for immediate ejection from the event without a refund
  • Noisemakers, such as whistles or air horns
  • Footballs, Frisbees, lacrosse balls, and inflatable balls
  • Fireworks, lasers, or weapons of any kind

What items are permitted at the festival?

  • Smaller bags such as clutches, purses, cinch bags, fanny packs, diaper bags and backpacks. Please note, these items are subject to search upon entry.
  • Wagons and strollers.
  • Small hand-sized clutch bag with or without a shoulder strap
  • Seat cushions that are one solid piece of foam without an case, zippers, or covering
  • Empty water, sports or Nalgene bottles. Festival goers may refill them once inside the Q
  • Small, compact umbrellas without metal tips

Are dogs allowed at the festival?

Unfortunately, your furry friends are not allowed at the festival.

What is the earliest time guests can pick up their Q Pit Passes at the festival?

Pit Pass holders for the 4-hour VIP Gold session will have a check-in tent where they can pick up their event credential starting 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. 3-hour Pit Pass holders do not need to pick up anything prior to entering the gates. Ticketmaster tickets will be scanned on your phone at the entrance for all guests.

Will taxi/rideshare services have access into the parking lot for the event?

Rideshare drop off and pick up location is located on Dick Connor and Federal Blvd.
